Norwich City right-back Jack Stacey will switch on the Christmas lights in Attleborough later this month. The 29-year-old defender is scheduled for the official duty in Queen's Square on Sunday, November 29.

A spokesman for the Attleborough Christmas Lights event confirmed the news. "We are absolutely delighted to announce that Jack Stacey from Norwich City Football Club will be joining us this year to officially switch on the Attleborough Christmas Lights," the spokesman said.

The community appearance comes as Stacey and his teammates prepare for a key Championship fixture. Norwich, currently 20th in the table with 12 points from 12 games, host 21st-placed Watford this Saturday. A win could lift the Canaries out of the relegation zone and provide a vital boost ahead of the festive period. The team's recent form has been difficult, with just one win and four defeats in their last five matches, a run that includes a 3-1 victory over Charlton on Saturday 24 October but also four consecutive losses prior to that. They have scored 20 goals this season but conceded 22, leaving them with a negative goal difference. The club's top scorer this season is M. Touré with five goals.

Stacey joined Norwich from AFC Bournemouth in 2023 and has since made 146 appearances for the club, scoring six goals. This season, he has contributed one goal and one assist in the league. His commitment off the pitch mirrors the effort required on it, with the team's recent form showing one win in their last five matches. The squad will be looking to end that poor run of results when they face Watford at home on Saturday 31 October.

The lights switch-on is set for a 5pm start, offering local fans a chance to see the defender in a different setting. Norwich's next match after the Watford clash will continue a busy schedule as they look to climb the standings.
