Norwich City have put winger Anthony Musaba through a medical today ahead of a season-long loan move from Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The 25-year-old arrived in England this week to complete the transfer after interest emerged from Championship clubs last month.
Musaba brings Championship experience having made 72 appearances and scored 22 goals for Sheffield Wednesday. He spent the second half of last season at Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig, making 17 appearances and contributing five goals. His arrival gives Philippe Clement another attacking option as Norwich look to push for the playoffs this term.
The Canaries have already strengthened their squad this summer with the signings of Bruno Alves, Sam Field, Andre Brooks and Darlin Yongwa. Musaba's loan move adds depth to the wings as Norwich aim to improve on their top-half finish from last season. The club will check their fixtures ahead of the trip to Millwall this Saturday.
The season-long loan deal does not include an option to buy, meaning Musaba will return to Fenerbahce at the end of the campaign. Fenerbahce have made several high-profile signings this summer, including Mason Greenwood, and are happy to let the winger gain regular minutes in England. Norwich were not the only suitors, with newly promoted Ipswich Town also showing interest in July.
Norwich face the potential loss of striker Mohamed Toure, who has attracted interest from Hull City and FC Porto. Losing Toure would create a significant gap in the attacking ranks and could force the club back into the transfer market. For now, the focus remains on integrating Musaba into the squad ahead of the squad update.
