Norwich City is gearing up for the arrival of Anthony Musaba, a 25-year-old left winger, who is currently undergoing a medical in England to finalize a straight loan move from Fenerbahce. The move is part of City’s strategy to bolster their squad, especially after the long-term knee injury of Ali Ahmed. Musaba, who previously worked under Philippe Clement at Monaco, brings with him extensive Championship experience from his time at Sheffield Wednesday, where he contributed 23 goals and assists in 80 appearances.
City’s officials have reached an agreement with Fenerbahce to cover a portion of Musaba’s salary, with a buy option being ruled out due to the player’s lucrative contract until 2030. Clement is expected to confirm the signing in the next 24 hours, making it the fifth senior addition to the squad this summer.
However, the transfer window is also focusing on potential departures. City is open to loan or permanent exits for players like Jakov Medic, Amankwah Forson, and Liam Gibbs, who have not been regulars in the squad. Gibbs was close to leaving on loan in the previous window but remained at Carrow Road due to an injury to Pelle Mattsson. Meanwhile, Mo Toure, who had a strong start to his career and played in the World Cup, is not up for sale. The versatile midfielder has already scored a goal in the League Cup, adding to his value to the team.
The club is also considering the future of Ante Crnac, who is expected to return from a 10-month lay-off with a cruciate ligament injury. With the September transfer window approaching, Norwich City is looking to balance their squad overhaul within the new financial rules adopted by the Football League.
