Norwich City defender Lucien Mahovo is closing in on a return to full training as he recovers from injury. Manager Philippe Clement provided the positive update ahead of the team's next match.
Clement confirmed Mahovo is increasing his workload week by week. "Week by week he’s doing more things," the manager said. "If everything goes well and he keeps making the right steps, then I expect him during the international window to come back into the group training sessions."
The 22-year-old remains unavailable for selection alongside Ali Ahmed and Mirko Topić on the club's injuries list. His potential return to the squad would be a boost for a side sitting 12th in the Championship with nine points from seven games.
Toure set for recall
Forward Mo Toure is expected to return to the matchday squad for the upcoming fixture. He was rested for the recent 2-1 victory over Birmingham City, a game where Oliver Schwartau and Pape Amadou Diallo found the net.
Toure scored in the dramatic 4-3 defeat to Middlesbrough just days ago, a result that leaves Norwich five points behind league leaders West Ham. The team's form has been mixed, with three wins and two losses in their last five outings.
Norwich now prepare to face Bolton Wanderers at Carrow Road on 20 September. Bolton currently occupy 20th place in the table.
