Oscar Schwartau opened the scoring for the hosts in the 28th minute, finishing from Mikkel Kvistgaarden's assist. Pierre Atcho Diallo doubled the advantage eleven minutes later, converting a pass from Alfie Brooks. Birmingham pulled one back through Carlos Vicente midway through the second half, but Norwich held on to extend the visitors' winless run to three matches.
