Norwich City's injury problems have deepened with defender Kellen Fisher withdrawing from the England Under-21 squad. The 21-year-old will return to Colney for assessment, adding to a significant list of absentees for head coach Philippe Clement.

Fisher's departure from the Young Lions camp follows that of teammate Ben Chrisene, who also pulled out of the international setup. Clement has already confirmed that forward Mohamed Toure, the club's top scorer with five goals this season, faces a lengthy spell out with a shoulder injury.

Norwich hope Fisher's issue is not serious, as the full-back has become an important option for Clement's side. The club currently sits 17th in the Championship with nine points from eight games, having lost their last three matches.

Several other Norwich players have withdrawn from international duty, including Kenny McLean, Paris Maghoma, Jose Cordoba and Andre Brooks. The club will be keen to assess the full extent of its fitness concerns ahead of the next Championship fixture away to Swansea on 10 October. Supporters can track the latest squad news on the club's injuries page and view the upcoming fixtures.
