Norwich City's former defender Billy Gee has signed a three-year deal with Serbian SuperLiga side Železničar Pančevo.

What happened?

Gee joined Norwich from Chelsea in 2024 but struggled with a hamstring injury that required surgery and kept him sidelined for four months. He represented the Canaries' U21 development side 35 times, scoring once in a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough last November.

Why it matters for Norwich City

The move to Serbia represents a valuable opportunity for Gee to continue his development and take the next step in his career. He said: "I am very happy to be here... I got a very positive impression from the moment I arrived in the city."

What comes next?

Gee will join a young group at the SC Mladost Pančevo Stadium, which includes fellow Londoner and former Fulham forward Sylvester Jasper. He expressed his excitement for the upcoming Europa Conference League qualifier against Portuguese side Braga, saying: "It is a very strong opponent, but I think it is a great test for us.
