Norwich City legend Russell Martin is poised for a return to management as he agrees to become Leicester City's new head coach. The former Norwich City defender has reportedly reached a three-year contract deal at the King Power Stadium and is expected to finalize his appointment soon. Martin, who previously played a significant role at Norwich City, will now face the challenge of rebuilding Leicester City after their back-to-back relegations to League One. Having been out of work since his dismissal by Rangers last October, Martin has turned down several opportunities during his time away from management. Interestingly, he held discussions with Norwich City last November before the club opted for Philippe Clement instead. Leicester's interest in Martin has been long-standing, dating back over a year, as they initially sought to appoint him last summer. The club's management is eager to see Martin lead them back to the Championship after their recent struggles. It remains to be seen which members of Martin's backroom staff will join him, but a reunion with former Norwich teammate Matt Gill is a possibility. Martin, who made 309 appearances for Norwich City, is well-regarded for his leadership and success during his playing days, including a notable play-off final victory in 2015.
