Norwich City are seeking to sign a new winger before the transfer deadline, with manager Philippe Clement confirming the need for additional wide reinforcement. The search is complicated by the Championship's new financial regulations, which restrict the owners' ability to invest. Clement wants to find a player who can provide different types of runs and profiles, as the team currently has a lot of players who are good on the ball. The recruitment staff are busy finding the right profile and making a good deal. Matej Jurasek's pending exit has left a gap in the squad, and Clement believes it can be a good thing for the player to play more minutes and take the next step in his career. Jurasek is undergoing a medical on Friday with a view to completing a season-long loan with Sparta Prague. The deal will see Sparta Prague cover Jurasek's wages and pay a loan fee, with an option to make the move permanent. With Ali Ahmed facing a long-term knee injury and Jurasek set to depart, City's boss confirmed he wants another wide reinforcement, with the search ongoing.
